Featured Artist: Nigel Hicks

Having trained and worked as a biologist, Nigel Hicks first got involved in professional photography in 1987 while living in Japan. Although he now lives in England, he still travels extensively and has had numerous books published, including 'Wild China', a coffee table production about that vast country's landscapes and wildlife (with text by Dr John Mackinnon) and 'The National Parks of the Philippines'. Recent trips include the Caribbean, Kenya and Argentina for a major publisher.

To quote Nigel, "Over the years my over-riding guiding principle has been to try to show the world what a stunningly beautiful planet we live on. With a huge proportion of us spending most of our time in overcrowded and polluted towns and cities, and with the news constantly filled with stories of doom, destruction and vacuous celebrity, it's easy to forget that there is actually a world of real peace and beauty out there, and that despite all the problems the world is still a truly stunning place".
