Do I have to register to buy art on Tokarta?

No, you don't need to be a member to buy art.

Am I buying the art from Tokarta?

No, you will be purchasing direct from the artist. Tokarta does not take a commission when a work is sold.

How do I pay for art I want to buy?

You can pay safely through PayPal.

What is Paypal?

Paypal enables you to send money from your credit card or bank account to anyone with an email address in 103 countries. It is free for buyers and provides protection for both buyers and sellers. Find out more from PayPal. A buyer does not need to be a member of Paypal to use this service.

What if I want to pay for an item in another currency?

That's no problem. If you are using Paypal they will automatically convert your currency for you.

What if there are problems once the artwork is received?

Contact the artist as soon as possible and discuss the problem. If a solution cannot be reached then we will be happy to help resolve the situation.

How can I let the artist know that I'm pleased with my purchase?

It is important to let the artist know that the work has been received safely and that you are pleased with it. When you purchase a work, you will receive an email from us inviting you to leave feedback for the artist. Just follow the instructions in the email. Also, a quick email to them would be great!

Can I change my mind?

Under the UK's Distance Selling Regulations 2000 you have 7 days after receiving the work to change your mind. You will need to pay for the return carriage and the artist will make a refund to you when the art is returned in an undamaged condition.

Can I have a piece in a different size/ colour?

Contact the artist. Many artists are happy to create a piece just for you and are used to accepting commissions.

Can I save my favourite pictures?

At the bottom of each listing you'll find a button to save the page to Del.icio.us, a site for social bookmarking. You can share your bookmarked pages and view the favourites of others. Great fun.
